🔍 Role Overview

My Design Minds is inviting applications for a Fundraising Intern who is eager to learn how real businesses raise capital, especially in the domains of design services, engineering solutions, and manufacturing support. This internship is designed for individuals who want hands-on exposure to startup fundraising, investor research, pitch deck preparation, and growth strategy, rather than theoretical finance or classroom-style learning.

This role is ideal for candidates interested in startup ecosystems, venture capital, angel investing, business strategy, and entrepreneurship. As a Fundraising Intern, you will work closely with the founder and leadership team to support ongoing and future fundraising initiatives. You will gain direct insight into how a bootstrapped MSME transitions towards structured growth and funding readiness.

This is not a passive internship. The selected intern will be involved in live startup fundraising activities, research-based decision-making, and documentation that is actually used in investor conversations.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

🔹 Fundraising Research & Investor Mapping

  • Research and identify angel investors, venture capital firms, family offices, and strategic investors aligned with design, engineering, and manufacturing services

  • Study funding trends in design agencies, manufacturing services, industrial engineering, and technology-enabled service businesses

  • Identify government grants, startup schemes, incubators, accelerators, and MSME funding programs

  • Create and maintain a structured investor and funding opportunity database with detailed notes

🔹 Pitch Deck & Fundraising Documentation Support

  • Assist in preparing and refining pitch decks, investor presentations, and fundraising one-pagers

  • Help structure business narratives covering problem statement, solution, market opportunity, revenue model, traction, and growth plans

  • Support in organizing financial data, projections, and key performance metrics

  • Ensure pitch materials are clear, professional, and investor-ready

🔹 Investor Outreach & Communication Support

  • Support email outreach and follow-ups with investors, accelerators, and startup programs

  • Track communication progress, responses, and next steps

  • Assist in scheduling meetings, calls, and demo sessions

  • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and proper documentation in all interactions

🔹 Market Research & Business Analysis

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis within the design and manufacturing services space

  • Support analysis of business models, pricing strategies, and scalability

  • Assist in preparing fund utilization plans and growth roadmaps

  • Learn how service-based businesses manage margins, operations, and expansion

🔹 Internal Coordination & Strategic Learning

  • Work closely with the founder, sales, and operations teams

  • Understand how design, engineering, and manufacturing service businesses operate and scale

  • Participate in internal discussions related to growth strategy and funding readiness

  • Gain exposure to decision-making at an early-stage but growing organization

✅ Mandatory Skills & Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed an MBA, BBA, B.Com, Economics, Finance, Management, or Engineering

  • Strong interest in startups, fundraising, venture capital, and business growth

  • Good research, analytical, and documentation skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Comfortable using MS Excel / Google Sheets, PowerPoint / Google Slides, and online research tools

  • Willingness to learn, take ownership, and work in a fast-paced startup/MSME environment

➕ Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Interest or exposure to design agencies, engineering firms, or manufacturing services companies

  • Basic understanding of startup funding stages, pitch decks, or investor expectations

  • Familiarity with startup news, funding announcements, or business case studies

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
