My Design Minds is hiring for Mechanical Design Engineers jobs in Delhi at the junior level for enthusiastic and technically inclined engineers who want to build a strong foundation in mechanical design, engineering drawings, and practical measurement skills. Mechanical Design Engineers will not be in a purely academic or theoretical position The selected candidates will work on real-world industrial components, assist in design and drafting tasks, support reverse engineering activities, and participate in measurement and inspection work. The role requires attention to detail, discipline in documentation, and the ability to communicate clearly within a project-driven environment.

They will also be encouraged to continuously upgrade their technical skills and stay aligned with evolving industry standards and manufacturing technologies. This role offers strong exposure to end-to-end product development cycles, enabling practical learning and long-term career growth in core engineering domains.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

🔹 Mechanical Design & CAD Modeling

• Create and modify 3D CAD models using SolidWorks, including parts and basic assemblies

• Assist senior engineers in developing production-ready mechanical designs

• Convert hand sketches, reference images, and measurement data into accurate CAD models

• Support design updates and revisions as per project requirements

🔹 Engineering Drawings & Drafting

• Prepare 2D engineering drawings with dimensions, tolerances, and technical notes

• Read, interpret, and understand manufacturing and assembly drawings

• Update drawings based on design changes, feedback, and inspection results

• Maintain drawing standards, file naming conventions, and revision history

🔹 Measurement & Inspection Support

• Use measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and measuring tapes

• Assist in manual reverse engineering by taking accurate component measurements

• Record and document measurements for design validation and quality checks

• Support inspection activities during fabrication or component evaluation

🔹 Coordination & Communication

• Communicate clearly with senior engineers, project managers, and internal teams

• Understand assigned tasks, clarify requirements, and report progress regularly

• Participate in internal design discussions and review meetings

• Maintain professionalism while interacting with colleagues and vendors

✅ Mandatory Skills & Requirements

• Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

• 0–2 years of experience, internships, or strong academic project exposure

• Good understanding of engineering drawing fundamentals

• Hands-on working knowledge of SolidWorks (parts, assemblies, drawings)

• Practical exposure to basic measuring tools and inspection methods

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and work in a fast-paced environment
